Has anyone tried to use an egt to moniter intercooler efficiancy? I was thinking of using a duel probe hook up like Percys egt and moniter before the IC and in the inlet to the throttle body. Do you think this would be an accurate reading. The only scary thing is if you lose the tip of the probe and it gets sucked in. Tell me what you guys think. MIKE

You don't need to use an EGT probe, wrong range of operation.

You want a thin wire about 20-24 gauge K type thermocouple junction probe from Omega.

Cheap and fast reading and you can prolly sleaze it in under the rubber intercooler hoses.

Something like the one in the middle picture should work fine in a 72" optional length version to reach inside the car without having to buy extension thermocouple wire.

I think they are sold in 5 packs so wire the whole car, Kapton insulation gives you 600 degree capability. :)
