I was cleaning my GN today when I noticed that there is a small clear tube coming off of a fitting on the right side of the intercooler (when looking at it from the top) near the top. This thing was just hanging there and I'm not sure where it goes or what it's purpose is any ideas?

Find out what kind of "fitting" it is.

Coulda been an old alky. kit hose or something.

Maybe a drain although that would be on the bottom usually for cleaning it out.

Bet you somebody used that for some type of boost measurement or boost gage??

I have a stretched stock style intercooler. The hose is about a 5 inch piece of clear 1/8" pressure tubing spliced into a vacume hose that is just cut off and doesn't appear to go anywhere. I'm not sure what kind of fitting it is it's just a brass piece on the intercooler with a nipple that the hose was attached to. It might have been for a boost guage when I first got the car the shop I took it to said they hooked up my boost gauge differently than it was because the original owner had connected it incorrectly.

If that's where the shop rerouted the boost gauge from, they should have plugged the hole for you. If they left it hanging this way, THEY didn't do THEIR job CORRECTLY.

It sure sounds like a likely senario!
