Intake Air Temp Sensor - Silly newbie question

[FWD turbo]

I am using an 84 turbo Riviera setup in a custom application. I Have a complete engine harness, but the intake air temp sensor (IAT) seems to be AWOL. The manual does not show an IAT in the schematics or the component list. Is it true that the hot air doesn't have an IAT, or is it a mistake in the manual?
