As I am to understand, when the WE4 was added to the line up, as you said, the WO2 black out on a 19 black regal became unavailable. I am not sure and have never seen any documentation that the nonWO2 was unavailable but you don't see many black non we4/we2 87 cars.

if you are interested in things like this suggest a copy of Dennis Kirban's Book.

I'm sure this is copy righted and may need to come down, not sure. Just using to show documentation.

Not sure actually. Ive never seen an 87 W02 in black.....

I have seen one wo2 87. He used to go to the track I did. At the time I didn't know what a we4 (even though I owned it)was but we did notice his had the chrome bumpers and hood ornament.

I used to see one in Farmers Branch/Addison area in N Dallas. It was a Limited and chromed out with cornering lamps, grey leather and a cf5 moonroof. Very loaded.

So I have seen two that I know of(though I have no idea where either went).

I recntly just purchased kirbans book and saw the same info, Have all original documentation from new, I have owned this car since 1995 and my cousin bought it new in nov 18 1986 from the dealership (showroom car)that his brother still works for present day. I had never heard of this ever through the years until last week just hunting for info thanks guys

Wonder if they were stock or repaints....
The wo2 car was original paint for sure as the guy was the original owner. The other I would assume(never know) original as these were seen in the late eighties when the cars were new.

How 'bout some pix. I am assuming it is a wo2 car in hansome 19 black?

Very interested, I have one, the previous owner said 1 of 200, but I don't know what his source was. Build date of 10/86.

The previous owner installed fiberglass bumpers and didn't have the originals. I would have thought they would have been black with the W02 option. I've since replaced the front ones with the black powdercoated bumpers from gbodyparts. Oddly enough, there is a car for sale in my area that is black with chrome treatment, although from his description these were not original:

Here is a pic of mine when it still had fiberglass bumper: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/sf-bay-area-spotted-thread.244860/page-12 in post #233
The T badges have been removed, note the header panel is hood-ornament-less, I'm guessing the previous owner got a GN or GN repro and installed it. Also has an antenna delete fender - also probably not original as the car came with Concert Sound II. Also has a dealer installed astroroof

Yea thats weird looking with the black paint and chrome bumpers. And chrome headlight fillers. Weird...

Yes the car is black, that was the same figure I heard 200. I called kirban and talked with Dennis himself and he wasn't sure how many were made. Don't know where the 200 figure came from, interesting 2 different people said the same thing would just like some proof to prove it
