my sons 85 t-type, has had cam sensor, crank sensor, 87 coil upgrade, new jasper motor, his stepdad went to pick it up from the shop, they pulled it around and i sat an idled for five minutes and he went to drive off and pull it into gear and it just died. it would idle, but wouldn't run when put into drive.
he is going to replace the iac motor/sensor and i was wondering if there was anything special to do when you do this or is it basically the same as when you reset one?

You might not need to replace the IAC. It may just be out of adjustment. What are the IAC counts reading on your scantool?

i don't know, the car is in fla and his stepdad has it at this rice rocket garage thinking they know something about tr's. not sure they have a scan tool for this type car.i read the procedure for that on the gnsite and if it is not fixed by thursday i will be going down there to see my son and check it out. i do thank you for your help though.
