Man. Wish I had listened. If your on the fence about buying the $90 tool to change the bushing in the upper ears on the rear axle do it. I bought over $1k in HR Parts and figured between all my tools, ball joint press, etc I would be able to get them out. Obviously I was not willing to use a hammer in any fashion. After fighting and thinking for way too long I sucked it up and sacrificed one of my cheaper pitman arm pullers and made the tool with some all thread, etc. I have about $25 in it counting the cost of the pitman arm puller that I had to modify. But I have a lot more in irritation. I think it would have been well worth the extra $70 to buy the tool. Just a friendly opinion for those doing this and in the same boat.
