How to Remove Front Landau Trim?

Hey Guys,

A friend and I are about to start prepping an 87 Limited with the landau top for paint but niether of us have removed the wide front trim on the roof before. Do you need a special trim tool and or procedure to do it without trashing it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should be retained by plastic clips. The clips will probably break and need to be replace. Just start at the end and pry it off as carefully as you can.

I practiced at the Pic-n-Pull a couple of years ago, and here is all I remember.

Push the top piece all the way to one side or the other. Take the bottom molding out of the lower end of the side piece. The side pieces should slide up and off the plastic clips, and then the top piece pulls off either side, leaving the clips behind.
