How to install support braces?

Hello guys, i recently went to the local junkyard and i came across the upper suppot braces that goes from the corner of the radiator to the inner part of the fender.They came off a v8 cutlass supreme, its the tubular ones not the ones that are like thick wire. My TR has the holes where the one end next to the radiator goes, but it doesn't have the holes for the fender. So my question is, should i drill a small hole on the fender side, or how do i make the hole?

I installed mine by bolting the braces to the core support then lining up the other end of the brace to the inner fender and drilling from there.
Caution; don't drill & bolt it to the actual fender lip or you won't be able to close the hood. It has to be positioned below the fender line.
