Aside from "just replacing it", is there a way to fix faded carpet? Mine is grey.

I noticed a product on the market called Ritz dye.....has anyone tried this product?

Over the years, I have had several older muscle cars where I have used Rit dye. It's always been the loop type carpet commonly found in '60-'70's vintage vehicles. And it's always been either black or other dark colors. I just put it in a spray bottle and mist it on, let it thoroughly dry and mist again until you get the desired results. I don't know how it will do with gray, but you could try it out on the section under one of the front seats. I usually add less water than directed, for a high concentratiuon of dye.

A. Shave/Wax it.

B. Go ahead and "just replace it".

OHHHHHH, your talking about the Regal.......sorry, my bad.

Thanks Bob. if I may ask, did the carpet you used the Ritz dye on get stiff at all? Or did it remain soft?

I've used RIT dye many times. I mix it thicker than the directions say into a bucket and then brush it into the carpet. Carpet stays soft and loose like it was before. It's a dye, not a spray paint.

WEAR GLOVES!!!!
