several ways to copy
you can borrow or use your 8mm camera and record them on a dvd recorder or vcr tape. some camera's even have the small 1/4 plug video wire to plug directly into your laptop but you'll also need the audio part too. radioshack sells several wires and adapters to get it into just about any plug on your laptop. i've done the 8mm to VCR tape and then to dvd recorder. just thought i'd throw my 02 in there on way's i've transferred 8mm tapes as i had a sharp view??? camera awhile back. there are also 8mm vcr type players but they are RARE, i used to own a memorex sold by radioshack and you may run into one on ebay. just a thought.
