Part store owners or auto part extraordinaire.

Looking to see if this part is ever sold separate on an alternator.

It's basically the bracket that bolts the alternator to the accessories bracket. I'm guessing the motor twisting from over time cracked it.

Do I have to buy a whole new alternator or do they sell these brackets somewhere?

It's for an LC2 motor

Many thanks.

Doubtful. See if you have a local alternator/starter rebuild shop. They'll have these used.

Uh, that's not a bracket, it a broken piece off of the front half of the alternator casing (housing).
Buy yourself another alternator and be done with it.
You COULD get another alternator case and transfer all the internal parts, but ...........

no torque strap.

And I know it's part of the alternator housing, but it honestly only holds 1 purpose and it's to bolt to the bracket. It comes off fairly easy. So that's why I asked if this part was sold separate sometimes.

No big deal. I'll just have to order a new alternator.

simple welding shop could cleanly put that back on and make it last for much less $$$
