Help Scanmaster not reading

When I turn my car on. The scan master won't come on. When driving every once in a while it'll come on say 2.1 then go off. And suggestions of what might be going on?

Anything else? I checked and didn't notice anything had to put in new wiring cause previous owner had house wire in it

How do you have it attached to the ALDL port?

it will only display the 2.1 on power up so for it to flash on 2.1 it had to have just powered up , check the power in ( red) and check the ground (black)

Thanks I rechecked the aldl line and took top off scanmaster and guess my sodder job wasn't very good wasn't getting connetion through it. So pulled off and got it now thanks guys!
