Help, Another "ticking noise" thread

The # 3 lifter bore on allot of 109 blocks was to close to the center of the lobe on the cam instead of offset like the rest of the lifters thus not letting it spin properly the cam company usually put a little taper on that particular lobe to help it spin,but it spins in the opposite direction.what cam was it.from what i see in the picture it don't look good but without seeing the entire lobe it's hard to say for sure
 
the part thats got me realy worried now is that the lifter was dry. I'm not positive on how they get lubed, is it because it wasn't traveling as far as its supposed to or could there be a blocked oil passage now?

Im not sure on the grind but its a comp cam.
 
I think you're looking at a rebuild here. Look at it as an opportunity to go with a nice new roller cam. :cool:
