So, I get up this morning at 5:30 am and de-ice my car. Well, I get to driving and my blower is making a whining sound...then a rumbling sound...the perfect time for a blower to go out, huh?
How hard is it to replace one? And, is it worth junkyarding for one?

They are easy to change, about a 15 minute job. As far as getting one at the bone yard, it's kind of a crap shoot, but I'm sure you can find a good one. As always, price is a factor.

well, I got a new one from AutoZone for $15...works great :D
Sadly though, my chrome cover doesn't fit, so now I am one short of looking like Poston's underhood chrome catalog page  oh well, I didnt pay for it!

I got mine from GM in 1997. Took 5-10 min to swap. Just has screws on the top and the wire harness to undo.
