Heat Sock

I have seen some imports "Supras, Hondas" you get the picture, running a custom heat bag or sock if you will over the exhaust side of the turbo.

Can someone tell me a little more about these, effectiveness,
costs and who sells them?

Wondering about this myself. I've heard that you get much lower underhood temps and possibly less lag from it, but I haven't seen numbers yet.

i'm pretty sure jegs sell them,and they do reduce under hood temps, not sure about what they do as far as spool up,but the other thing i heard is that they reduce bearing life in the turbo due to higher turbine housing temps...if someone else knows the answer to this it would be helpful i'm sure to alot of people.....please chime in experts.......thank you,joel
