Heat Shield Problem

I got my new DP & up pipe installed. I tried multiple times to get that one large heat shield to jive with it......and no luck.

Should I .......

Leave it off and pray it doesn't melt something........

Cut it or modify it somehow, any heat shield is better than none

I would get a spare one from GBODYPARTS and modify it. One idea. Brad

Wow, that just occured to me that you probably need something to keep that sucker from burning through the adjacent objects.

What do you have on there right now?

Right now, 4 coats of some 1200 degree silicone or ceramic paint and 2 layers of DEI header wrap.

i think you will be ok. i ran mine for along time with no heat sheild or wrap and i didnt melt anything

I'm don't use the heatshield or wrap either. I think you'll be ok.
