Headliner alternatives - abs; fabric?

Hi,

The dreaded sagging headliner (sigh) has set in.

Is it worth it to scrape the brittle board to get all the foam off?

Are there any alternative materials for recovering the board? (I'm not looking for a "Pimp my Ride" solution... but maybe something more modern that won't fall down again). What do they use in new cars these days - some kind of carpet, suede?

Anybody know where to get a premade ABS backing board for the t-top GN?

I saw that Jax has a kit for redoing my headliner. I read that I could get the materials from a fabric store or Pep Boys as well...

Thanks!

Did mine 2yrs ago fabric came from Jo-Ann Fabric and adhesive
from Advance Auto. At Jo's u can buy per yd Pep sells in a box.
Who knows u might need more than what's in box. Jo's is cheaper too. Still lookn good.

Ive decided to put a grey suede headliner in my race car.Gotta have that bling bling!!!

matching fabric

When you guys change fabric in headliners, trim panels what are you doing with the seats. does It look good mixmatched, just curious I would like to do the same with my upr door trim and headliner

Unless your interior is shot, you wont really be able to tell the difference between factory and the replacement.Paul at Jax is a great vendor and the only one besides Poston that sells cloth interior(Jax has leather too).

so if call jax he will sell me just the cloth fabric for doors and headliner

Yep,he can even sow the pleat's on the door panel for you.

You have a PM spyder.
