hatch back motor gear

I'm looking for the gear for the hatch back motor that pulls the hatch closed.The stock gear is made of plastic and I'm wondering if some one has one made of metal. The plastic gear striped and the guy's at Napa said it's a salvage part or a dealer part. Has anyone besides me hade this happen????

Yes, it happened to me also, Got one from the local Chevy dealer (same a Camaro) for $3, shocked the heck out of me at the price.
