I just replaced worn valve springs and put on a powerplate at the same time(I know, I know, always do one mod at a time!).
The springs took care of the 3000rpm and up power on my 140,000 mile Turbo T.
The plate really seemed to help with quicker spool up and drivability. Almost as soon as I hit the throttle, it zips to 5psi, even before it has a chance to downshift.
