Not mine but it was good for a laugh. It seems every week there seems to be a GNX scam on ebay.

I remember seeing this one a few weeks ago with a different listing. I remember seeing the tie wraps holding the MAF tube.

Mebbe the seller thought he was buying a Monte Carlo SS with a REAL V8 in it.. and was disappointed to find it was only a V6.. :) and, not even a Monte SS....

I wonder how many people have asked this guy questions regarding the car...

Bid early, bid often. Someone is gonna be either really sad or really happy in like 4 days when the auction ends!

Thanks for the link, someone should email the seller and ask them if they can come inspect the car in person. If the seller obliges then someone local should go see if its for real. It would either be a steal or a deal of a lifetime.

I notice the exact same pictures were used from another auction I checked out a few days ago. It definately raises flags but it would be nice to call the scammer out.

Come on guys, don't you realize its a SCAM. This is one of the oldest ebay scams out there.

Huh sold last week for 36,000. Now a new seller only wants 4k......
Actually, it went up as high as 36,100, but the reserve wasn't met. The owner must have changed eBay names, when he realized that the car wasn't worth that much, and now dropped his reserve from 40,000-ish to 4,000. I particlarly like the way the "new" seller says to contact him first or he'll cancel the bid, and if someone agrees to it he'll end the auction early. What a putz!

I just emailed the seller and said i would pay cash face to face only...just to see what he says. I think Id crap if I picked up a GNX for that much (I know its not true):D

I bet he did make a mistake in the ad. Too bad he doesn't have to sell it for the ad price, like Wal-Mart does.

Don't you guys read the ad. Classic Ebay scam. The seller can't even write proper English. Bet the auction will be pulled shortly.

Tipical foreignor stealing an ad and trying to collect the $$$. Funny thing is, they usually get the ebay ID too.

This is what he wrote:

For a special reason I need to sell this beautifull car.

The price that I want for this car is 4000 USD.

Before to place your bid I want to talk to you because this was my favorite car and I want to know who will be the next owner.

If you place your bid until you contact me I will canceled your bid.Email me first to bid so you can have my aprove to buy this car!!!

Please respect my auction conditions.

I will end my auction early for the buyer who is ready to pay 4000 USD

Here is a reply from Worldwidemusclecar after I sent them an email:

If you are referring to auction 4516395319, this is a FALSE auction and
we are in the process of having eBay remove it.
The GNX is not currently listed for sale on eBay by
Worldwidemusclecars.com at this time. We have bid 1,000,000 on this car
and
contacted eBay to remove the add. If you are interested in the car
please contact

I had emailed the guy, suspecting it was a fruad before seeing this post to see what reply I would get back.
Well he replied this morning, and after seeing this, I know its definitely a fruad, but here was his reply....I had asked where the car was located and if the asking price of $4k was correct......here is his BS:

First, I want you to know that I live in USA,but for the moment I'm in
England. Two mounths ago my cousin died in a tragic car accident.
My cousin family need money urgently and thatsware i sell this car so
cheap, becouse i want to help they.
The car is in excelent condition .It has a title clear wich you will
recive along with the car and two rows of keys.
The buy it now price is 4000$ and I want a deposit in the same day when
you will receive the car.
Regarding the payment method i would like to use Square Trade like a 3rd
party for the deposit.Square Trade is a affiliated company of eBay.They (as
you can see on ebay site map) develop the program Safe Harbour -Fraud
Protection.I am a seal member and that's mean I am backed up for all my
auctions on ebay.I pay them fees for that!
The car is in US and it is allready into Square Trade possesion, they inspected and tested the car to see if the description on eBay matches with the real condition.
Look how they work:
1.I will contact them , and I will send your shipping information.
2.They will send us mail forms (the forms will be from customer support
team) for you about payment deposit.
3.Those forms must be filled by every part of this deal(me and you)
with infos that they required.
4.We must submit the forms.
5.After you will inspect the car,Square Trade will send me the
payment infos and I shall pick up the money.
This means a 3rd party.
If you want to go on with this deal , mail me asap and I will require
those forms right now also I need your complete name and address.
After all that will be done, the car will be shipped from Square Trade, and
will arrive to your place in max. 10 days.
You will receive a tracking # in the same day that the car will be
shipped.

Gotta love how they try to sweeten the deal with free shipping of the car. So if they need money so badly then why are they offloading a car they could easily get $30,000 for in less than a week and on top of it paying the $600 or so it will require to ship the "car".

I emailed him back saying to tell me where I could meet him or his representative with the car for inspection and I could be there within 48 hrs, and if I liked it I would give him an extra $1k bonus to play right into his scam...more money than he wanted :) See what his reply will be.....
