getting into the low 12's

Hi Bob,
I am no expert, but have some observations.
The slip % should decrease as rpm increases. Typical slip numbers for this style converter are 10-16%.

If you are spraying alky, review turn on point.
If launch boost is greater, the 60' will be lazy as alky is spraying.

If using the PAC, there is purple wire that can be grounded for launch, via momentary switch. This will arm the system, but limit spray during launch.

Re: NB vs WB
The WB ground should be to the engine to ensure accuracy.

This may all be basics which you have covered, but nevertheless my observations. :)
