Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois, has rescheduled the Midnight Madness event scheduled for March 27th to Friday, April 10th, due to weather concerns. The track has also cancelled the scheduled Test-And-Tune event on Saturday, March 28th, for the same reason.

The following statements were posted on Gateway Raceway.com.

Due to an unfavorable forecast including 70% chance of precipitation and more importantly a wind chill in the 30’s, tonight’s Midnight Madness will be RESCHEDULED to April 10th. Gateway Raceway wants to insure that the Midnight Madness fan base, as well as the participants have the best experience possible. In this case, due to the strong winds and chilly conditions, it is the best interest to reschedule tonight’s event for APRIL 10th.

Due to a consistent weather forecast of substantial rain and possible snow flurries for Saturday, March 28th, the Test-N-Tune event is officially cancelled. Cold temperatures and the threat of frozen precipitation will degrade the quality of race conditions.

The 2009 Street Car Shootout Series and Doc's Harley-Davidson Street Bike Shootout Series will begin on Tuesday, March 31st, along with open testing for all vehicles. In the event of cancellation due to weather, all 2009 Tuesday SCSS/SBSS Test events will be rescheduled for the next day, (Wednesday), with the same schedule.
