fuel line loose

smelled gas the last couple days but didnt worry to much about it . on the way home from work today the smell just got to strong so i pulled over and found out that the bottom fuel line that goes to the fuel regulator was loose and spraying fuel out tightened it back up but i know i lost about a quarter tank of gas on this . what should i do to the fuel that was sprayed out ? will it catch on fire ? should i wash it off ? please help and thanks for your advice :biggrin:

It's probably evaporated by now but yes, wash it down. That fitting doesn't normally loosen, try some Loctite on it.
