Well I have my motor out. How hard is it to replace the front pump bushing. I was going to replace the seal anyway.

Replacing the front pump bushing will require you to remove the pump from the transmission. First, the pan needs to be removed so that the TCC solenoid can be taken out of the pump.

The pump then needs to come out and be disassembled. You'll need an appropriate driver to install the new bushing to keep it straight and undamaged.

Consider taking your pump body to a local trans shop & have them swap the bushing for you. It would also be a good time to examine your stator tube splines as they are probably getting worn.

Replace the tube with a new, hardened unit.
