WHY THE HELL ARENT WE RUNNING 6's YET!!!!!

(isnt kenny duttweilers car the quickest????)

Kenny Duttweiler's car ran a 6.89 @ 204 With the Olds Body
Buddy Ingersol may have as well.

Here are the 10 fastest GNs that I know of off the top of my head.
Kennys GN went 7.28 @ 180
Gary Lee went 7.5
Bob Borreli went 7.5
Ron Luman went 7.5
Shawn Lilly went 7.6
Delassandro went 7.6 maybe 7.5
Alvin Isokawitz went 7.7
Conley 7.7
Pete Barton7.8
Gallina went 7.9

Am I forgetting anyone???

I guess the problem is that with the fords and chevys
running the turbo power it is hard to make the v6 compete
unless the sanctioning body is friendly towards our cars
and gives them a healthy weight break. With out a major
place to race and with lack of sponsorship you get a couple
guys that build shoot out cars and that really kills the development. If you had to spend $100,000 on a race car would you build one that could not compete? Also the part were getting harder to come by. I think TA is going to help us on that one.
It stilll is $1800 min for a new crank and I doubt that will go down any time soon

You heard it here first Bill Anderson will run a 6 this year.
This is not from his mouth, but I am cheering for him.

So nobobodys Really run a 6 yet. too bad.........

Thanx for the reply!!!!!

well by then i think the body is irrelavent isn't it? actually you'll be seeing regal bodies in the 6's when that new Aluminum v6 block comes out...but still the buick stage 2 motors are quite capable of 6's with the right body setup of course...are buicks capable of 6's? motorwise yes...bodywise probably not quite yet...but soon

According to the Conley Performance site, www.conleyracing.com:

"We have been able to hit 212.29 mph and run a 6.55 with Tweaked II setting a new world record!"

Oops - not quite the same thing, is it. Oh well, I guess that even though Conley is a Buick guy, not all his cars are Buicks.

Sorry for the bad info.

Don't forget Jim Romanello's 14.2 with an Ebrake launch......on a rebuilt trans of course........lol.

Do you have the MPH on Alvin's pass???
What about any contact information???

Thanks in advance!!!

I don't remember the MPH. He is a local here in Brooklyn. I will find out. I don't think he bothers with online boards.

Ed,

Thanks in advance. I have heard about Alvin through
my boy Goldfine.

Don't forget Jim Romanello's 14.2 with an Ebrake launch......on a rebuilt trans of course........lol.

Thanks Rich...
I also was picking my nose on that pass:D Taking pictures too.

BUt it still beats Art Paltz's 15.6 & Jim Testa's Did not show pass.
