exhaust/muffler question

when i took my car in to get the exhaust hung, they tightened the clamp on the end of the muffler so that it made the opening out of round. Now I am finally getting around to completing the exhaust (rather than just open after the mufflers) I cannot get any pipe into the outlet of the muffler because it has been smashed a little. Is there any tool or method that will allow me to make the outlet round again, kind of stretch it back so i can slip a pipe in there?

Just take it to any exhaust shop

On the end of some tube bending machines is an expander. Any exhaust shop should be able to fix that in a few seconds.

Go to any local chain auto-parts store and ask to "rent" a tail pipe expander they rent them in a kit usually, @ $120. but you get the whole amount returned to you when you return the tool/kit undamaged. They work pretty well for just making the pipe round again, and help alot for fitament of the outer pipe on a slip-fit system. Hope it works out for you. :D
