I looked at a engine that is for sale and the block code is 25514290 . What year and what size is this engine? Is this a turbo engine. Thank you for your time, Bruce.

that casting number is for a 3.8 turbo 79-84. I hope that helps. I have the 78-87 GN facts and figures book too but I havent read it so Im not sure if there is casting numbers on the block in there. Hope this helps.

I have an original 25514290 in my '83 TR. 25514290 is a 3.8, but it may have been used in NA applications as well. If it has any thing bolted to it, like an intake, it should be pretty clear if it was a turbo or 2-barrel.
