Eliminating Heater Core

This winter I have eliminated the heater core and AC on my car. I have a question regarding the coolant lines. I have removed the steel lines for the coolant that run beside the passenger fuel rail, that leaves me with a port in the intake and a open port on the water pump. Can I plug both of these ports or is it necessary to run a line from the pump to the intake?

yes plug both and pm me a price on all of the heater stuff, hoses, tubes and heater valve along with the fittings. My GN doesn't have anything except the heater core and I would like to put it all back.

What is everyone using for plugs/caps on the water pump?

You can buy "heater hose caps" They are caps made of heater hose, slip it on with a clamp and that's it

Thanks! Looks like a 3/4" cap is needed for the water pump nipple.
