eDash Install Question

Hi,
I am installing the eDash and XFI. The one thing I need a bit of help with is installing comm port pigtail that came with the eDash This is used so both the eDash and laptop can be used at the same time. It says to use D5 C30 & 31 on the XFI harness. The D5 & C31 already have wires in them. Are you supposed to remove these wires/pins? Do they need to be spliced in?

Remove C31 pin, use D 12 instead of D5. If you purchased from us they should already be prewired
