ECM Tuner Recommendations for '05 Suburban

I'm wanting to continue tweaking my '05 Suburban Z71 w/5.3 V8. I've already got a Corsa SS exhaust and K&N intake on it, along with upgraded brakes & SS lines w/Bistein shocks.
Next on the idea list is an ECM upgrade, something from Superchips/etc. Was wondering if anyone here has had experience with the various choices out there. I think a full customer tune from someone like Wester's is a little overkill, but what about the off-the-shelf options?
I'm not planning to mod the internals of the engine, I may do headers to complement the Corsa cat-back at some point and different size tires/rims - that's about it. Ideas? Thanks

ive installed and seen the edge programmers, i really like them.they can connect to your computer at home and update whenever needed, you can change any paramiter you want, and monitor every sensor the truck has including the trans temp when towing.you can change the "stages" on demand and the ones ive done came with a nice/neat mounting bezel for the dash, just plugs up to dignostic port and go.
wish they had one for my 99 silverado....

the last one i did was on an 05-6 f-150, i was sure they made a chevy version.sorry.

We use EFI Live... NICE, and it's amazing as to how much "stuff" you can access!! Not cheap, but mail order tunes are about like "mail order brides"!! You never know, until you try it. No workie?? T/S.

HP Tuners is what I use for customs tunes but EFI Live is good as well. If you are looking for a more simple solution then try Vinci's Superchip tuner as they have worked VERY closely with Superchip and have several cam tuning .bin files stored right there in the unit. In other words should you want to upgrade the cam they have several spot on selections from Crane (Whom they also worked with.) that allow one to install the cam and springs, then select the cam tune from proper .bin file, download it and off you go. Here is their website - Vinci Hi-Performance Orlando LS1/LS6 Performance Specialists Good luck and I hope this helps.

This is all great info - thanks. I hadn't been thinking about upgrading the cam but as I've been researching this, I learned that is a nice upgrade to due with an ECM upgrade. More food for thought!
