I was talked into helping a friend with his '85 Grand National. The problem
he has is he is playing musical chips from different manufacturers, and
every one seems to have a different problem and most of the company's are
not willing to help him "tweak" the calibration, so that is where is I come
in. I am running Tunercat RT with the Romualtor, so I should be set.

The problem the car has is it has a massive stumble off idle, like a lack of
accel. pump. Looking at the options I have, looks as if there are several
accel pump features that I can use. What do you all recommend!!!????

He has the intake "ported", after seeing it, it is pretty "hogged" out, so
the accel pump features and some other odds and ends are not going to work
correctly I am sure!!!!

I did some comparison between the "stock" chip and the so called performance
chip he has, and the only difference that there is between the two is
injector size, TCC lockup speeds, and a 6 degree spike in the spark timing
at 4500 RPM, which by the way it has massive spark knock at that RPM, so it
looks like his $200 for the chip didn't get him a whole lot!!!

Is there any online sources that have any help with these computers, as this
is a new devil for me, I have been tweaking the $42 and $58 cals, and this
one is totally different. It seems that the info I have run across is, toss a
chip in it and go, no one seems to do any "serious" tuning on them!

Any help is appreciated, so I have a place to start with!!!!!
