For some unknown reason according to Turbolink the ECM never sees 4th gear.
I've done a tranny service, changed the 4th gear switch, and am now lost.
What can I do to fix this?
Any help is appreciated.

you must trace the wire from the 4th gear pressure switch back to the ecm for continuity .if its good ,ground out the wire and see if the ecm reads it as 4th gear is on .if it doesnt,, or replace ecm .scan it with a snap on scanner or have the local garage do it before sand bagging the ecm.www.ckperformance.com

Grounding

Please pardon my ignorance, but how do I ground the wire?

Do I have to cut it or can I just tap into the wire?

Is there a certian voltage I should look for?

Can I ground the wire with the car in park?

Thanks for the help,

Ken
