Are the bars next to the seat removable?

If yes, where did the connectors come from and have any "officals" at the track hassled you about the removable bars?

Did you paint the bars outside the car?

Yes they are removeable, there hanging on my wall right now. Never had a hassle totally legal. The track owner even commented on how nice it looked one time. They came from S&W race cars as well as the roll bar kit. Chris Alstons chassisworks carries nicer swingout kits, but I'm not sure of the legality of them due to the fact that there is no backing plate.

I painted the bar inside the car before I put the interior back in. Primer, paint and cleared.

Do a search on "Roll Bar" and you'll come up with alot of my posts, and others discussing legality of side bars and such.

The alston spring loaded bars are legal, and nice, but $125.00 per side.
They as user friendly as it gets.

Doug,

I sent you some mail. Did everything clear okay? What did the kit in your car cost and how much you estimate in $$ for a shop to install? Thanks!
