does the FAST want/need diode suppressed relays?

i have my fast hooked to normal Bosch automotive relays for the fuel pump and nitrous control... i never really gave it much thought but now i'm wondering if this is safe to do long term... these relays don't have any kind of diode for inductive spike suppression and i'm wondering if that will hurt the FAST over time? surely most people are using these normal relays so it would be nice to know if this is ok...

thanks,
Jeff

Well the ecu probably has a very rugged low side drive transistor with some sort of protection scheme, but IMO diode clamped coil loads are probably a good idea in general for several reasons :)

JeffB check your PM please.
