Yeah I've known about it for awhile, whether or not it opens this year- I don't know. Thats what the site says.


I'm sure all 50 people that live near there that race are going to enjoy it


I hear they are opening a track in timbuctu next

It's amazing just how quick that whole area is building up. I used to work at a dealer out there and just in that time it doubled in size (they built 20 new homes. lol). It is surprizing that it went thru with all those 20 plus acre lots and Sun City retirement villages so nearby. You can race all day and then go to the casinos and gamble. It is like an infant Las Vegas.

Drag city seems to be full of promisses and not much else. They have been talking about opening a drag strip since 2000. If I'm ever on driving out that way I'll have to see what's really there. I would tell you not to hold your breath on it opening anytime soon if ever.

I wasnt sure where Banning was, so I checked on Google map:

Banning is in the freakin' boondocks !! Some 50 miles east of Riverside (and 50mi W of Palm Springs). Not the easiest to get to, for LA or Orange county urbanites.
