Guys, I'm replacing both emergency cables on my 87 GN and wondered if I should apply some sort of lub on the outside of the casing that in exposed to the elements. If I apply a wet brake grease then it will attract dirt etc but keep the water out. So would I apply a wet brake grease or a dry spray such as dry graphite in a spray (rattle) can?
I just don't want the cable to rust inside the case and cause any binding in the future.
