I'm starting to wonder if a 1.28 60' isn't enough to be pushing a 3200+ car to.
The extra stress that will be put on components trying to push the car to a better 60'. Looking to plant the tires harder will certainly increase loading of the drivetrain. I am looking for good numbers for the car, but I am always thinking about durability too.
This last time out with the car, I've found a tuneup and wheelie bar adjustment, at my home track anyway, that is carrying the tires a respectable distance and giving me 1.28-1.31 60 foots. I think I may call it on the launch and start working more on the carry out and 1-2 shift transition.
The last two passes of the latest test session were both a 5.67 et. I had to de-tune quite a bit from the tuneup I used just a week ago for the Phoenix 1/4 mile event, dropping boost control pressures over 3 psi in some points, but still being able to match the 660' times. Interesting.
