M Mike E Mr. Badwrench Joined Oct 9, 2006 Apr 19, 2012 #2 No additive is required for a locker. Contrary to popular belief, the only thing the additive does is make the clutches in a pos slip easier. Without it the clutches have more friction and tend to chatter instead of a smooth slip.
