Did a little spring cleaning on my motor

While i was waiting for my new turbo to arrive, i naturally became really bored since i could not drive my car around. So instead of just waiting, i decided to just start taking everything off my motor, going at it with wire wheels, and cleaning everything up.... and then repainting the various parts.

Spent a few days at 3-4 hours a day just on sanding down and cleaning up everything, and a few more days painting everything.

So this is what i had to stare at while i was turboless. Notice the surface oxidation/rust on various metal parts.






So off everything comes!!!


Cleaned up the Altenator real well.


Cleaned up the belt tensioner real well.

On with the paint!! Took me about an hour total to mask off the letters and the turbo 6 logo on both valve covers.










Came out very nice :biggrin:


More pictures to come after i get the turbo installed along with a few other goodies.
