Under system configuration, it has the parameter "fuel rail pressure". My question is should the fuel rail pressure on the DFI be set at idle pressure or at wide open throttle pressure?

I cant answer your question but , are you using the GEN 7 on a turbo buick , I am curious to see how well it works , I am fixing to purchase one and I need to know if it works good on a turbo buick?

JEFF WEEKLEY

No actually it's on a turbo honda. Give Lawrence Connley acall, he specialises in Grand Nationals at 281-540-3278. He's running it in his 6.5 sec Camero!

I talked to Janice last week and she said they liked the new dfi a lot better than the F.A.S.T . She said it seem to be a better system and worked great for them I have the F.A.S.T and am currently setting it up and it seems ok also the dfi is cheaper from what I have heard again from what I have heard

Yeah it is considerably cheaper than FAST and more up to date. I was about to get the FAST system until Lawrence convinced me to go with the Gen 7!

So how about the fuel question guys!!!

Measure Fuel Rail Pressure with key on, engine off, closed throttle, and with the fuel pump running -- preferably, just before it shuts off.

Basically it will be what you would be setting the FPR at on your rail, if adjustable. Usually start at 45 psi.

WHAT THE HELL!................What are you doing here? Stop following me around!

Anyways, on the DFI Gen 7 under system configuration, it has a parameter called "fuel rail pressure. Is that pressure at idle or wide open throttle?

That would be at idle with the vacuum off. Hopefully your pressure isnt going down too far at WOT. How would you check fuel pressure at WOT without any load on the engine anyways? For that matter, how would you check fuel pressure at WOT with a load on the engine?
