Dash Trim Idea

Not wanting to spend big bucks on a perfect dash trim I went to Pep Boys and bought this 1/4” trim. I applied the dash trim right over the original trim, I think it looks good, can’t even tell it’s not original. I also used it around the dash appliqué. It isn’t perfect, but I 45 degreed the edges and think it looks a million times better than original.

Looks good on the dash chrome strip.

However, long ago I used chrome pinstripe on the dash panel surround and it was a much more factory like subtle solution.

Fast with class!! Well done.

Sorry. I used to have the same dash plate as yours. But not anymore. But I used pinstripe around the AC vents and still have it there.

Today, I have changed the dash plate and installed the raised border type one. The chrome was good on the new one. I did this and then ordered a custom center panel from Mark Hoffman and applied an emblem from an old Turbo Riviera.
