Dash pad shell from OPG?

Has anyone tried one of these? My dash pad has a split across the top seam, I was thinking of trying one instead of pulling the entire dash.

somebody (like bweavy) needs to make a cap that slips on and bolts down under the dash plate and lips over the top to take care of this common issue . seeing that split from outside looks terrible . a simple cap that just comes down over the top would be ok , i wouldnt mind looking at a clean edge from inside
