Dakota Digital Dash problem.

I have a Dakota Digital dash and have already installed their tach buffer. The tach reads perfectly until I go WOT, and then it drops to 0 and stays there until I let off the throttle. I have checked all the wiring, and even ran the wires through a shielded wire loom, but the problem still remains.
