How much would a tranny from an 87 SS with 178,000 km (110,604 miles) on it be worth? I have an 85 and am looking for a CZ tranny to rebuild and a local junkyard has one. I can probably get it for ~$300, is this too much?
I have two regular 2004R's but would prefer a proper SS tranny. Would I be better off just building up one of the two I have?

Well I think I will go back next week and ask if they will take it out for me. I can't get at it because they have the car sitting on the frame with no wheels or anything under it...
