how can you tell a turbo crank? i have one original turbo motor out of my monte also i have 2 4.1's and 2 other 3.8 also are there any heads that do a better job than others?

I have heard that the 4.1 heads flow better than the 3.8s.

ok i have 3 sets of 4.1 and 2 of the 3.8 all but one set have the same casting numbers

Like I said, just what I heard. However, I also have a set of 4.1 heads and a set of 3.8s. The 4.1 have a larger dome area (visually). I may be missjudging them though as far as their flow rates. Just my 2 yen. I'll leave this subject to the rest of you.

Turbo crank has rolled fillets on main and rod journals while an NA crank only has them on the mains.......not on the rods.
