Cough, Stumble, at part throttle...

Lately, when I first begin to drive my 86 T, and apply 1/3 throttle, the car will begin to accelerate and then completely stall for a moment until I let my foot of the gas. The check engine light flickers on for a breif second and then goes off once the car starts ideling again. No codes are stored. The car never totally dies to the point I have to restart it. This problem does not happen every single time, and seems to do it less the more the car has been running.

Also, at the race track, the car ran strong on 90% of the passes, but a few times it would do the same thing about 10 or 11 seconds into the run.

I am thinking possibly ignition coil and module. I have a new LS1 MAF, new fuel filter, new fuel pump etc...

What do you think?

Flickering check engine light is usually an ECM problem. Try checking that the chip is seated fulley in it's socket and the plugs are tight.
