Purchased new window trim clips from Highway Stars. They will not side down the pin in the channel. The plastic clip is just a little thicker and the pin will not slide through it. Please does anyone know where to get ones which work?

Sorry, I just bought Highway Stars clips for my one car and they fit great. Suggest you use a screwdriver or pliers to push the clips down over the pins. There are clips out there that look similar but they are too short to lock the trim pieces in. Highways Stars clips work!

There is no way these pins will slide down this clip. They are just too thick. Have tried in a few different spots. Just my luck. How much force did you push on them?

I have the Highway stars ones, too. They worked fine.

I'm not sure if there is a Space Age Paint Store in your area, but if so, they have a wide assortment of clips for sale. It's worth a shot.

They only go on one way!

I am pushing and they will not slide. The old ones go on very easy.

Tried another clip from the package and it went on. Very tight but it did slide half way down. Is that far enough? Does it have to go all the way?

It should be able to go down all the way. Was the window replaced? A lot of the time the ribbon sealer sticks up and has to be cut a little to get the clips to seat properly. I’ve had this problem when replacing clips on a window that was already replaced. I installed the clips on the rear window but the window was out and everything was clean.
