Correct boost?

Soooo I hook up this boost gauge and when i am at full boost (what seems to be full boost) it only reads 4.5-5 psi could this be correct for a 85 Riviera t-type? Am i expecting to much from it right now? I was hoping for some where around 7-9psi

depends on where your wastegate is set at! worry about getting a scantool before you start worrying about your boost! See you at work! :biggrin:

IIRC the Riv is 12# in low gear and 10# in high. It's a tad bit lower than it is in the Hot Air Regal anyway. Check for cracks in your exhaust manifolds. I've never seen a Riv that didn't have cracks. And check to make sure your waste gate puck isn't stuck in the open position. That's a common problem on cars that have been sitting or that aren't driven hard every once in awhile.
