Im not quite sure if im on the right track or not but heres the problem, giong to work the other night and the car jumps out of gear while on the on ramp and the speedo drops with no incline and never has since, i slow down enough to start down shifting and the only thing i have is 1st, limp it home with a code of 24 on the scanmaster and after figuring out that it means vehicle speed sensor i jumped on that ordering a sensor...then while reading on here today about what causes code 24 and start the troubleshooting, the speedo cable is still because i took it out and spun it by hand and the odometer moved again, so im now thinking as the list of problems suggested its the speedo gear in the tail shaft. My only question is does this sound right and how does one break a speedo gear?
