Cometic headgaskets reusable?

I just got a new set on the motor and ran the car for a short time inlcuding a quick drive, but one of the heads need to come off. Can I put the Cometic back on (assuming there isnt something wrong with it)?

Folks say they are OK to reuse at least once. Have read it here before. But I haven't tried it yet with mine.

I had similar situation. (my car saw no boost) I called cometics explained the situation to them . They said yes
go ahead put them back on you will be fine.

They seem to be working good on mine .Have made 25lb darts on the street many times so far so good

I used one set 3 times! After each use I would clean the gasket surface with Acetone and then spray the outer surfaces (that meet the head and block) with Hylomar. It is a Permatex product that comes in a small 4-6oz aersol can. I have to "special order" it from NAPA.
